So, ofcourse besides the obvious I still purchase my snacks and tampons at my nearest Walgreens & despite my pronounced Sephora addiction, there’s just things that cant be replaced (Yet..)
- Neutrogena – Oil Free Acne Wash – $8.00
I went to my dermatologist when I was around 18 years old because I was noticing that once a month I’d get really bad break outs for about 2 weeks. Thats when she quickly recommended birth control pills and Oil Free Acne Wash from Neutrogena – Apparently, my hormones/PMSing was causing my breakouts(?) but I’ve been on top of my BC and this soap for 3 or 4 years now and its been my skin saver.
How I use it: I use this soap twice a day (once in the morning and again before bed time)
TIP: Changing your pillow case at least once every one or two weeks prevents oil and dirt from transferring to your skin
2. Burt’s Bees – Tinted Lip Balm – $4.99
I love these lip balms and to be honest I prefer them 100x more than chapstick. If you havent tried these, they’re a bit similar to Fresh Tinted lip Treatment – These balms are moisturizing, non sticky and the numerous shades they have makes me want to buy more every time I go to Target
TIP: Have you guys seen the founder of Burt’s Bees documentary ‘ Burts Buzz’ on Netflix? I cried. He was such a gentle soul (RIP Burt)
3. Sally Hensen – Nail Growth Miracle – $8.29
You know how they say ‘ strong hair = fast hair growth’ ? The same logic applies for nails! I’m not saying they wont grow if you have brittle nails its just very challenging. I started by applying this oil serum on my cuticles for about two weeks straight every night( After 10 min. of massaging them into the cuticles i’d wash it off or let it dry) I did see a difference on the length and strength of my nails however, it wasn’t anything drastic but definitely an improvement.
SN: This bottle lasts me about 5-6 months because I use it at least once every two months
4. Sally Hensen – Airbrush Legs – $10.37
For those down town Miami nights where wearing a cocktail dress or skirt is a must! I have to make sure my legs look flawless. I have a bit of whats called ‘varicose veins’ on my thighs which is when your veins are visible above the skin ( Not a big deal) but If I skipped on my tan and I’m getting dolled up to go out – I kind of make it a big deal
How I use it: (I put on gloves before applying) I use literally a penny size drop for each leg and allow it to air dry for 30min.
TIP: I’m sure we all exfoliate everyday but make sure to extra exfoliate the areas you’d be applying this on otherwise, you wont have that smooth and airbrush look/feel.
