I know I haven’t posted in a few weeks (sorry!) I’m in the midst of moving out of my apartment and everything is pretty hectic at the moment.😫
BUT I did want to have this review up before anything else, as I was super stoked to finally try out the popular Solotica Hidrocor Mel lenses (kindly provided by Lens Republica).
Quick background, I have been wearing contact lenses since forever because I’m hella blind and I have astigmatism (plus, I prefer lenses than regular glasses) so I’ve used quite a few contact brands through out the years. Again, to finally get my hands on the trendy Solotica lenses is super awesome!
Lets get down to the Nitty-Gritty
- Unnatural/Zombie looking under certain lighting
- Small iris hole
- Looks great in natural lighting and photographs!
- Wide variation of color lenses
These contacts look perfect under natural lighting and even in photographs but I think the Hidrocor Mel lenses are a little too light for my brown eyes thus giving me that “zombie” look under certain lighting (maybe a blended pupil and a darker shade or the Hidrocharme may suit me best). Although these Solotica lenses were not prescription I did find them to be comfortable and more realistic than most contact brands. There’s just something about not having the black ring that transitions your natural eye color to the lenses that make them look creepy in person (?) but hey! they were definitely fun to play around with and I’m planning to purchase the Hidrocharme Mel next after all, its all a matter of preferences, right?
